The Girls and Boys High Schools have a total of 700 children ages 4 through 16, yet they practically had no playground equipment for fun and physical activities. The last equipment was donated by Sadiq Mohammad Khan about 30 years ago but was now rusted and broken. We believe playgrounds are an important part of the school experience.
The foundation installed new swings, slide sets, merry-go-rounds, see-saws, monkey bars and animal rides in both schools. The new playground was a big attraction for children which is hardly surprising if you know that the villages in Pakistan do not have parks and playgrounds. The day after the equipment was installed, 12 new children enrolled in the schools.
