Reverse Osmosis Solar Filtration

Overview

The water pumped from the ground in Juggowala is bitter and cannot be used for drinking or cooking. The foundation initially provided public access to water filter in boys school in Juggowala. Seeing the lined-up cans there at all hours made us realize that the demand for clean water is much greater, especially because the people from nearby villages are also using it.

In January 2024, the new reverse osmosis high capacity solar power water filtration plant was completed with 8.2KW solar panels, 8000 liters storage capacity, providing 1000 ltr/hr of clean drinking water. This is enough capacity to serve Juggowala and several nearby villages. Nearly 2000 people are receiving water from this plant daily.  A full-time care-taker is employed to keep the plant running.
