Overview
The Girls High School and the Boys High Schools together have over 675 children ages 4 through 16. Yet neither school had playground equipment for fun and physical activities. The last equipment was donated by Mr. Sadiq Mohammed Khan about 30 years ago but was now rusted and broken. In 2022, the foundation installed swings, slide set, merry-go-round, see-saw, monkey bar and animal rides in both schools. The day after the equipment was installed, 12 new children enrolled in the schools. The school told us that while the parents had to coerce the children to go to school before, they were now anxious to get up and go to school. Several children going to private schools started begging their parents to enroll them in the government school instead. It was certain a big attraction for the children, which is hardly surprising if you know that the villages in Pakistan do not have parks and playgrounds.
